WANTED - CUSTOM APPLICATOR (Vermontville location)
EXPERIENCED INDIVIDUALS WILL BE WELL COMPENSATED
Will train the right applicant!
- Qualifications and skills required:
- High School diploma
- Valid driver license with the ability to get a CDL
- Able to make calculations to make up the correct batch for a given job
- Willing to work extended hours during the application season (March thru December)
- Able to operate the computers/controllers in the application equipment
- Qualifications and skills preferred:
- Have a current Commercial Pesticide Applicator License with category 1A
Responsibilities include
- Operate the assigned machine in a safe manner
- Able to find the fields off maps in order to make the proper application in the correct location
- Complete the proper paperwork as each order is completed to turn in for billing
- Read labels on products and wear the proper personal protective equipment
- Mixing, loading, and applying crop protection products
- Communicate with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner
- Keep machine or machines you are operating properly greased
- Wash outside and clean inside at least once per month
- Perform regular maintenance at the correct intervals
- Help other custom applicators as a truck driver
- Assist around the plant to maintain a clean and organized facility
- In the off-season the expectation is to complete maintenance on all the application and delivery equipment and assist at other plants as assigned
